By coordinating a wide variety of bath, bedding, floor covering, window, furniture, kitchen and home décor products within its Interiors by Design house brand, Family Dollar helps consumers create great-looking spaces on a budget. Moreover, the program encourages purchases throughout the store as customers come upon selections within the IBD collection. When research revealed that perceptions of the collection’s low price were outpacing their perception of its quality, Family Dollar asked us to help refresh the IBD brand. From logos to packaging to labeling, we set out to convey contemporary fashion, style, quality and fun while still reflecting affordability. Of course, we made certain the brand would stand out in the competitive store environment, always taking complex packaging requirements into account.
