Wray Ward Adds Two to Public Relations and Content Team

Christy Marion and Sarah Headley have joined the Wray Ward PR/Content team, bringing a combination of strategic planning, digital marketing and writing talent to the growing group.

“We are thrilled to welcome Christy and Sarah to the team,” said Heather Tamol, director of public relations/content. “Their mix of digital and traditional PR and content experience, as well as their creative thinking, are perfect complements to our goal of producing great work for our clients.”

As an account manager for Wray Ward’s PR/Content team, Marion brings experience in integrating strategic mixes of PR and content tactics for her client’s brands. She joins the PR/content team from French West Vaughn in Raleigh, where she managed the Lee Denim account, including media relations, content development and social media management.

Prior to that, Marion was a public relations and analyst relations specialist with Media Frenzy in Atlanta, where she handled account management, traditional and digital public relations, and content development for global and domestic accounts. She got her first taste of public relations during a year-long internship in London where she worked on the Johnnie Walker Gold Label Yacht Party and the London launch of BMW’s i3. She is a graduate of Georgia College.

Headley joins Wray Ward’s PR/Content team as an account coordinator, coming from digital marketing agency Ready at 7, where she developed content, managed social media and conducted media relations. She started and managed Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga) Coworking’s blog that featured residents, local nonprofits and events happening around the space and worked with sponsors like OrthoCarolina to develop content.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Headley also has a background in journalism and has written for publications including The Triangle Business Journal, ExitEvent, CharlotteFive and The Daily Tar Heel.
